Kota Kinabalu: The parade of Jiu Wang Da Di, organised by Sabah Nam Tien Kong, has now become a tourism event.

Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta) Chairman, Dato’ Seri Winston Liaw, said the programme no longer serves solely as a religious festival but has been included in the Sabah Tourism Board’s calendar of events.

“This cultural event has become a tourism attraction, showcasing the State’s religious diversity to international visitors,” said Liaw.

He stated this after, along with the organising committee members, paying a courtesy call on the Deputy Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Chan Foong Hin.
