KOTA KINABALU: Parents of children enrolled at the Sabah Autism Centre (Paus) will now pay RM300 per month instead of RM650, following the introduction of a RM350 monthly subsidy from the State Social Welfare Services Department (JPKA).
State Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Datuk James Ratib said the assistance aims to ease family expenses while maintaining access to quality autism intervention programmes.
The centre in Kota Kinabalu currently caters to 92 children through customised programmes, with another facility in Sandakan meeting demand on the east coast.
