Manchester United cult hero Park Ji-sung has opened up about when he found out that they wanted to sign him.
The midfielder signed from PSV in 2005 for a fee of 4million and went on to win four Premier League and one Champions League title.
He was left in disbelief when he heard Sir Alex Ferguson wanted him to join the Red Devils.
Park said: "I heard that Manchester United were interested in me. But I said to my agent, 'Don't even joke! It can't be true' I just laughed. I didn't believe it.
On my way back from a game, he told me: 'Sir Alex is waiting for your call'.
"I was quite afraid of taking the call because at the time, my English wasn't good enough."
