Party’s struggle far from over, Dr Joachim tells PBS members

TELUPID: Acting President of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, called on all party members to continue moving forward.

He said the party’s struggle for the people and State is still a long way to go.

He made this call when completing the two Annual General Meetings (AGM) of PBS Divisions N49 Labuk and N47 Telupid which were held separately, last Saturday.

At the Labuk division’s AGM held at the Beluran Multipurpose Hall, Dr Joachim, who is also Deputy Chief Minister II, witnessed the presentation of the Tokoh Pejuang Sepang Zaman Award from representatives of four ethnic groups in Beluran district, namely Kadazandusun, Tidung, Bajau Samah and Sungai, to the former Head of Division, Datuk Seri Michael Asang.

Read more Among those present were Labuk Assemblyman, Datuk Samad Jambri; PBS Labuk Division AGM Organising Chairman, Mirsoh Ampak; Head of Labuk PBS Division, Zamil Ismail; Head of the Central PBS Youth Movement, Dr Christoper Mandut, as well as members of the Supreme Council of PBS, Wanita and Youth exco members.

Dr Joachim later officiated the AGM at the Telupid Multipurpose Hall.

He said PBS will defend the Telupid seat in the 17th State Election (PRN), under the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).

He congratulated all the branches that successfully held meetings and beyond at the division level.

Also present at the AGM of Telupid PBS Division wre Telupid PBS Division Chief, Telupid Assemblyman, Datuk Dr Jonnybone Kurum; the Organising Chairman, Levi Philip; PBS Vice President, Datuk Johnny Mositun, Prime Advisor, Datuk Seri Michael Asang; Head of the Central PBS Youth Movement, Dr. Christopher Mandut; members of the PBS Supreme Council as well as Heads of Divisions, Youth and Women’s excos.

Malam Bersatu was held as a closing ceremony of the programme.
