KUALA LUMPUR — PAS has conveyed Christmas greetings to Christians across Malaysia, expressing hope that the occasion will strengthen bonds, renew optimism and reinforce a culture of compassion and goodwill.
In a statement today, PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan emphasised that diversity is “an Amanah (responsibility) that must be protected with sincerity and wisdom.”
He noted that despite differences in faith and beliefs, Malaysians must remain united in their aspirations to build a nation that is just, secure and dignified for all.
“Values celebrated during Christmas — love, forgiveness, humility and service — are also shared values across all religions and beliefs, including Islam.
“As the world grapples with worsening conflicts and misunderstandings, Malaysia must continue to stand as a shining example of healthy and mature coexistence,” he said.
Takiyuddin also said that harmony cannot be achieved through uniformity, but PAS believes it can flourish through sincerity and readiness to respect and safeguard the space and rights of every citizen.
“We may not agree on everything, but we can choose to listen, understand and uphold the dignity and rights of all who live under the same Malaysian sky,” he added. - December 24, 2025
