Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed of Umno compared PAS to the popular comic book character The Incredible Hulk, who goes on a rampage when his emotions are triggered.
He claims that PAS, like the Hulk, will transform into a tremendous green monster with infinite physical strength and lose all sense of rationality.
"PAS will trample and destroy to pieces everything that passes in front of them," said Datuk Nur Jazlan.
According to the MalayMail, the Umno supreme council member drew parallels between the popular Marvel Comic superhero-cum-humanoid and PAS, whose Perikatan Nasional (PN) partner Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) appears set to finish second.
Nur Jazlan warned that PAS had a clear fault, akin to the Hulk's alter ego, Dr. Bruce Banner, who suffers from dissociative identity disorder (DID).
"PAS leaders may appear pious and humble in general, but when triggered by positions, rank, and power, they will change."
"They will seize every opportunity to dominate every available post as much as possible," he warned, "even if it means ignoring their main coalition partners in Bersatu."
Nur Jazlan cited a recent occurrence in Kedah in which Bersatu assemblymen were only allocated three state executive councilor positions, as opposed to five in the previous line-up.
He claimed that PAS's domineering nature could be witnessed not just in Kedah, but also in Kelantan and Terengganu, where they controlled practically all of the state executive councilor positions.
"Bersatu was only given one state executive councilor post in the two East Coast states of Kelantan and Terengganu."
“This is because PAS considers itself to be the most powerful and deserving party to dominate. Nur Jazlan stated that the Umno president (Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi) and the party's leadership made the correct decision by ending their collaboration with the Islamist parties Muafakat Nasional (MN) and PN.”
