Mohammad Sanusi's sexist comments against women drew flak from all quarters.

One of the worst is from Lim Guan Eng who said the Kedah MB should be condemned for his extremist and misogynistic attitude towards women.

Besides, Sanusi does not respect women. He insults and ridicules them, said Guan Eng.

In 1960s when feminism was the rage, Sanusi would have been easily branded a "Male Chauvinistic Pig" or MCP by feminists.

Jullie Willet wrote "Calling someone a male chauvinist pig offers sweet revenge, a chance to dehumanize those who dehumanized you. But the insult contains more than a laugh. The three jabs in quick succession—male, chauvinist, pig—are part of feminist attempts to place men’s sexism within a broader American political milieu."

The phrase is also a prime example of how men respond to being called sexist.

Willet argues that "It would be hard to deny that the male chauvinist pig is still alive and kicking, running amok in his own filth in the United States".

And we would also add rural Sik a provincial district of conservative state of Kedah to that list.

Willet illustrated her assertion by saying that "The election of Donald Trump and his 'grab ’em by the pu**y' regime mixed misogyny, mockery, and race privilege with delight.

In addition, New York State Governor, Andrew Cuomo’s domineering behavior in politics, Willet said echoed his sexually belittling actions in private.

She claims that both "Trump and Cuomo are proud of being jerks, personally and professionally, and as a result both were called “male chauvinist pigs.”

We would like to add Sanusi's name to Wallet's list of MCP politicians like Trump and Coumo who are prejudiced  against women believing that men are superior in terms of ability, intelligence, etc.

Meanwhile, it was this sense of prejudice we believe that drove Sanusi to say “In Sik, the candidates (from BN and PH) are women. It is not that I'm demeaning women. (But) in Sik, a rural area with many people in need, they would seek help from the 'wakil rakyat' at all kinds of times. Will they be able to do so (if the elected representative is a woman)? I don't think so. At 3am (if they're woken up by constituents seeking their help), we can imagine their hair would be messy. How are they going to help victims of floods, for instance? It would take them more than two hours just to get ready," said chauvinistic Sanusi.

We would recommend Sanusi attend a rehab camp to cure him of MCP affliction like those suffering from other forms of addiction.

Unless fully rehabilitated  Sanusi would continue his demeaning attitude and crass behaviour towards women.

We would conclude here by inviting Mohammad Sanusi who is a learned Muslim Malay to refer to the Holy Quran where Allah SWT says men and women are spiritually equal.

That "Those who do good, whether male or female, and have faith will enter Paradise and will never be wronged; even as much as the speck on a date stone." Quran: 4:124

Be a good Muslim. Mend your ways. Act like a statesman.
