Zaid Ibrahim recounted that the PAS President relented only after being informed that failure to take the oath would lead to disqualification, illustrating the necessity for all citizens, including political leaders, to abide by the country's laws.
Zaid Ibrahim suggested that the PAS President should have shown understanding towards the judiciary's decision and urged Muslims to be patient, emphasizing that change could come through democratic means, such as elections, where PAS could potentially bring about transformations, including in the Constitution. However, the PAS President failed to present a clear vision for the future under PAS governance, according to Zaid Ibrahim.
