According to The Vocket, polygamy is the answer for Malaysian women who are yet to marry, according to a recent suggestion made to parliament by Kubang Kerian Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
He clarified that polygamy is the only viable solution for the over 8.4 million single Malaysian women.

“When it comes to resolving issues after marriage, Muslim men can think about taking on a wife. This is not the ultimate solution to this problem but this (polygamy) will give them a 'way out'," he stated.
He made it clear that speaking about polygamy these days feels like a crime because it has become such a touchy subject.
He went on to say that the appropriate ministry ought to approach this matter sensibly and offer single women moral assistance.
The deputy president of the PAS, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, emphasized that polygamy is acceptable in Islam and Shariah as long as it complies with specific legal requirements.
He reiterated, saying that the topic of polygamy was not brought up in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday; rather, it was the function of government to resolve issues that the populace faces, including those pertaining to delayed marriage, according to Astro Awani.
"The topic of the number of single persons has nothing to do with the polygamy I brought up. The problem with polygamy is that it seems illegal. Although syar'ak and Islam permit this kind of polygamy, PAS doctrines do not address this.
