"Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said Umno is irrelevant... However, it is not Bersatu that people vote for, it is PAS," said Umno Vice President Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani to Harian Metro.

When reporters asked Johari about Muhyiddin's comment that Umno has become irrelevant after winning only 19 of the 108 seats contested in the State Election (PRN) in six states yesterday, he responded as follows.

According to Datuk Seri Johari, falling and rising are typical in politics, and the party in question should not 'push' the opposing party when they are also deemed ‘losers.’

He explained that this is because Perikatan Nasional did not win all of the disputed seats and lost up to 40 seats out of 79 in the PRN in six states.

"It's normal in politics to have an 'up' and 'down' moment, don't try to pressure people when you've lost. It's only 3-3, so the government won't necessarily win," he remarked.

He made the remarks at a news conference following the Donation Program for students of the Public Institute of Higher Education (IPTA) and the Institute of Public Higher Education (IPTS) in Taman Maluri.

At the program, a total of 100 students from the Titiwangsa Parliamentary seat got an RM1,000 grant to assist with university applications, as well as to boost the spirit and morale of students, particularly the B40 generation, in education.

According to the media, PN demanded Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi accept moral responsibility and quit as Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister immediately.

According to Harian Metro, the Terengganu state administration now has no opposition for the first time in history, thanks to the Perikatan Nasional (PN) sweeping all seats in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

This time, in the State Election (PRN), PN won in style in all 32 DUN contested by the alliance of PAS and Bersatu, accomplishing the previously agreed aim.

The victory ended the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition partner, Pakatan Harapan (PH),'s dream of returning to power in Terengganu.

Surprisingly, numerous prominent BN figures, including two former Menteri Besar of Terengganu, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Said, and Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman, were defeated.
