MANILA, Philippines — Three days before the Senate opens the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, the Pasay City Traffic and Parking Management Office on Friday announced the temporary closure of portions of Diokno Boulevard beginning Monday, July 6.
Both the northbound and southbound lanes of Diokno Boulevard, from Seaside Boulevard to Atang Dela Rama Street, will be closed every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to accommodate the impeachment proceedings at the Senate.
The impeachment trial is expected to last seven to eight months, with hearings scheduled on the same days and within the same hours.
Motorists are advised to use Macapagal Boulevard as an alternate route and follow the instructions of traffic enforcers deployed in the area.
