
MANILA, Philippines — Motorists in Pasay City are advised to expect heavy traffic due to road closures this Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, due to the Sto. Niño Grand Procession that is expected to draw thousands of devotees.
In an advisory from the Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office, it said roads would be closed startingt at noon, ahead of the 3 p.m. procession that would affect Derham Park, F. B. Harrison, and sections of EDSA. Roxas Boulevard will be partially closed from EDSA to Traders Hotel, while Buendia Avenue and Roxas Boulevard intersections will also have restricted access.
Authorities urged drivers to take alternate routes, including Diokno Boulevard, Macapagal Avenue, P. Ocampo Street, Taft Avenue, and Park Avenue to avoid congestion.
City officials reminded commuters to cooperate with traffic enforcers and plan trips early to minimize delays. The procession is part of Pasay’s annual Sto. Niño celebrations, a tradition that attracts large crowds of devotees and spectators every year.
