MANILA, Philippines — Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto reacted to the latest developments in the Senate, urging the public to remain calm and reflective amid the situation, on Wednesday evening, May 13.
“ I just saw the commotion in the Senate. For now, all we can do is watch and pray for our country. I hope our minds become clearer and that conscience prevails among everyone, especially those in high positions.” Sotto said.
The statement came amid heightened tensions at the Senate of the Philippines, following reports of gunshots inside the Senate compound.
