THE Pasig City government has extended P5 million in financial assistance to three local government units in Mindanao affected by the 7.8-magnitude earthquake.
Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said Monday the assistance came from the city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund-Quick Response Fund.
Sarangani and Davao Occidental received P2 million each, and General Santos City, P1 million.
The financial assistance was released following the approval of the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Resolution 1, 2026, which was also adopted through a resolution by the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
A Pasig delegation composed of representatives from the Management Information Systems Office, Tricycle Operations and Regulatory Office, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office delivered the assistance to the three local governments.
The delegation also visited the emergency operations centers of the recipient LGUs to check their condition following the earthquake.
Sotto thanked Pasigueños and city personnel who helped deliver the financial aid.
