  • An Angara Airlines An-24 passenger plane, carrying 43 passengers and six crew members, crashed near Tynda in Russia's Amur region.
  • The aircraft, operating the Khabarovsk–Blagoveshchensk–Tynda route, took off on Thursday at 7.36am local time.
  • It vanished from radar and stopped responding to calls just a few kilometres from Tynda airport.
  • The wreckage was found 15 kilometres from Tynda on a slope, with emergency services confirming the plane was destroyed.
  • Reports indicated the plane went missing during a second landing attempt after an initial approach to Tynda airport was unsuccessful.
