Passengers evacuated after Boeing plane suffers ‘hard landing’

• A WestJet Boeing 737, with 164 people on board, made a hard landing at Princess Juliana International Airport on Sint Maarten.
• Footage from Sunday 7 September showed the aircraft bouncing on the tarmac, leading to the evacuation of all passengers and crew via emergency slides.
• The aircraft was sprayed with foam as a precaution, and three people were sent for medical evaluation out of an abundance of caution.
• WestJet said it is fully cooperating with local authorities to determine the exact nature of the incident.
