- If confirmed, this would mark the first Ebola case in the UK since the outbreak in the DRC was declared a public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organisation.
- The UK has pledged up to £21 million to support the Ebola response in the DRC, with specialists from the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team deployed to the region to aid international efforts in containing the disease.
