
- Eligible patients can book free Covid-19 and flu vaccinations from 1 October via GP surgeries, pharmacies, or the NHS website and app.
- Free jabs are available to individuals over 65, pregnant women, care home residents, and clinically vulnerable people.
- Unpaid carers, Carer's Allowance recipients, and household members of immunocompromised individuals are also eligible for the free vaccines.
- Dr Asiya Maula emphasised that vaccination helps protect vulnerable loved ones and prevents care disruption caused by illness.
- Pregnant women are additionally advised to receive whooping cough and RSV vaccinations to protect their newborn babies.
