
KENINGAU: Mukim Patikang emerged champion in the district-level Kaamatan Festival Traditional Cooking competition organised by the District Office and District KDCA run by the District KDCA Women’s Council at Dataran Keningau here.
Mukim Patikang brought home RM500 in cash, a certificate and a hamper. Second and third places went to Mukim Bingkor who received RM400, a certificate and a hamper and Mukim Tuntumulud who received RM300, a certificate and a hamper.
In the individual Open Cooking Competition, Ducy @ Easter Justin won first place and received RM350, a certificate and a hamper. The second and third places were won by Enah Gambulu and Vivica Jisni who received RM250 and RM150, a certificate and a hamper, respectively.
Deputy Chief Minister I, who is also State Kaamatan Festival Main Committee Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan presented prizes to the winners of Mukim Traditional Cooking competition, while his wife, Datin Seri Cecelia Edwin presented prizes to the individual open traditional cooking winners.
