My wife, Zarina & I decided to revisit Pavilion KL after reading it being named the “Highest Rated 5-Star Mall in Kuala Lumpur” by Dianping 2025. We understand Dianping which is a platform focused on sharing local lifestyle consumption methods, helping everyone to discover exciting places both inside and outside the city, enriching leisure time. It also provide information on a wide array of popular new businesses, restaurants and tourist attractions. It is a Chinese app similar to Yelp, TripAdvisor & Groupon, and it has an English version for foreign travelers to use. (apps.apple.com>app
I learned from my overseas graduate students that Dianping is famous in China for providing information and customer reviews of local restaurant that have made eating out so much easier. They convinced me that “With its innovative use of customer reviews and wide coverage, Dianping makes finding somewhere good to eat out even for halal food, whenever you are in China. Well there is a saying that ”once a Dianping user, always a Dianping User."
Coincidently, when we revisited Pavilion KL, our best friend, Datin Niki Yusof, invited us to have middle eastern lunch at Al Halabi Gourmet Restaurant, Level 7, Dining Loft. Right at the ambience entrance of the shopping mall, we could see a luxurious, magical decorations for upcoming Christmas festivals. As we enter the building we could hear the symphonic music & Christmas chorus, where lights and voices unite in a truly unforgettable, premier holiday season & New Year celebrations. I am amazed that Pavilion KL is renowned for its luxury retail, vibrant atmosphere, and diverse dining, and entertainment options, while its architecture & art installations like the Crystal Fountain make it an iconic location. It plays an importance role as a central point for both our local & international visitors.
