SIPITANG: The Women’s Chief of Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS), Maria Samuel (pic), has confirmed that she has left the party.

The former PBRS Women’s Exco member from Kampung Kaban, Sipitang, revealed that she plans to contest as an independent candidate in the coming state election for the N35 Sindumin constituency.

Maria is known as a successful insurance entrepreneur and an active community figure in the Sipitang district.

PBRS Sindumin Division Chief Pius Ganang however could not be reached for comment.
