KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) marked its 40th anniversary on Wednesday, reflecting on its enduring role in Sabah’s political landscape.

Acting President Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam reaffirmed PBS’s unwavering commitment to defending the rights and interests of Sabah despite past challenges.

He underscored the party’s resilience over the decades, navigating shifts between government and opposition while consistently championing Sabah’s political and economic progress.

As PBS looks ahead, Joachim emphasises the importance of leadership transition, the continued struggle for the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), and the State’s development.

Key PBS leaders, including President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili, party founder cum Prime Advisory Council Chairman Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, party veterans, and prominent members, attended the celebration at Hakka Hall, reinforcing PBS’s unity and mission.
