KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining political stability and unity among local parties, saying Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) remains the most credible platform to advance Sabah’s interests, said acting president Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam (pic).

He said the GRS government had achieved tangible progress in the past year, including improved fiscal management and faster implementation of matters related to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 through cooperation with the Federal Government and Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Dr Joachim said the partnership with Putrajaya was based on mutual respect rather than dependency, allowing Sabah to enjoy greater fiscal space and development attention without interference in its autonomy.

He said PBS, as the state’s longest-standing local party, had learned through experience that mature dialogue and cooperation were more effective than confrontation in advancing Sabah’s growth and dignity.

He called on Sabahans and PBS supporters to stay united under the GRS banner and give the coalition a strong mandate in the coming state election to ensure continued stability and progress for the State.
