PENAMPANG: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) members who defy or act against party directives will be investigated and face appropriate action, said Acting President Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam.

He made this remark at the party’s first Supreme Council meeting this year at the party headquarters here, Friday, which discussed general strategic directions to strengthen PBS’ role as a relevant local party.

“PBS will continue to play a constructive role in the State and federal political landscape, and will strengthen cooperation within the coalition for the sake of stability and progress in Sabah,” he said.

PBS also reaffirmed its full support for the Madani Government and its commitment to providing strong backing to Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates in the Lamag state and Kinabatangan parliamentary by-elections today (Saturday).

“This cooperation is in line with the spirit of political stability and support for the Madani Government,” he said.
