Kota Kinabalu: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) have agreed to begin discussions to foster more cooperation.

This follows a proposal made before the 2020 general election, said PBS Secretary General Datuk Julita Majungki and Star Secretary General Datuk Edward Linggu in a joint statement, Thursday.

The collaboration’s objective is to increase support and strengthen the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), said the statement.

The decision to commence to cooperation was reached following a meeting between the leaders of both parties on Nov 15, added the statement.

Five leaders from each party will represent them in the official discussions.

Representatives from PBS include Julita, Information Chief Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, Women’s Chief Datin Malianah Ugau and Youth Chief Christoper Mandut.

Star will be represented by Edward, Vice-President/Strategic Director Dr Paul Porodong, Information Chief Datuk Jalumin Bayogoh, Women’s Chief Datuk Flovia Ng and Youth Chief Kong Soon Chai.
