KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) has pledged full support to five incumbent Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) assemblymen who chose to remain with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and offered to lead their election machinery.

PBS information chief Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said the move was decided during the PBS Political Bureau meeting chaired by acting president Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam on Thursday.

He said PBS divisions in Sook, Bingkor, Paginatan, Liawan and Tulid have been instructed to hold discussions with the incumbents Datuk Ellron Angin, Datuk Robert Tawik, Datuk Abidin Madingkir, Datuk Annuar Ayub and Datuk Flovia Ng, to coordinate campaign efforts.

Joniston said the constituencies involved are areas where PBS enjoys strong grassroots support and that collaboration would help GRS sustain voter confidence in the coming state election.

He said the party’s decision reflects a shared responsibility to uphold unity within GRS and maintain public trust through continued cooperation and development efforts.
