Kota Kinabalu: Two candidates will vie for the Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Women chief post during the wing’s 41st Annual Delegates Conference at Hakka Hall here on Sept 24 and 25.
They are PBS Women Information Chief Datin Muteh @ Evelyn Sigar and PBS Darau Divisional Head Norhaizah Abu Bakar @ Marsya, with incumbent chief Datuk Maliannah Ugau not seeking re-election.
A total of 43 candidates will contest in the election at Hakka Hall, which will also see delegates choose members of the new PBS Women Executive Committee, according to organising committee Publicity Chief Datin Seri Vicky Yee.
The conference will culminate in the joint opening of the PBS Youth and Women annual delegates conferences on Sept 25 by incoming PBS President and Deputy Chief Minister I Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam.
