Details of the fatal incident

Bakri added that preliminary investigations suggest the incident happened when a man carrying a long-handled sickle struck the victim’s neck as both motorcycles were riding close to each other, causing the victim to fall off his bike.

“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene from severe neck injuries. Another victim, a 17-year-old college student and friend of the deceased, suffered hand injuries and is currently receiving treatment,” the statement read.

Police investigation and arrests

PDRM has since detained two foreign nationals, aged 39 and 52, to assist with the investigation.

“Several items believed to be linked to the incident, including the long-handled sickle and a motorcycle, were also seized.”
