Kelantan Police Chief, Datuk Mohd Yusoff, in a statement today, said that the suspect was arrested at a house in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan, yesterday (18 November) following the robbery.

The suspended police officer, however, is not only facing a robbery charge.

PDRM also found 12 red pills on him, believed to be drugs

Datuk Mohd Yusoff also pointed out that the robbery was not his first rodeo. The suspect’s modus operandi involved robbing stores in the state with a firearm to intimidate the victims.

Before his arrest, Yusoff said the suspect had robbed four different locations with the same modus operandi. The suspect, who tested positive for drugs, was arrested with multiple items seized, including,

  • 2 motorcycles and 3 helmets
  • 1 imitation pistol
  • 1 watch
  • 1 pair of gloves
  • 1 pair of slippers
  • 2 bags and 2 masks

The recent robbery took place at the BuletzOne Boutique Bundle, located in Kampung Tanjung Mas, Kota Bharu, on 10 November at 4:30 PM. At the time of the incident, one of the female employees of the boutique was at the scene.

The suspect was taken to the Kelantan Contingent Police Station for a documentation process, and at the time of writing, the investigation is still ongoing.

PDRM also confirmed that with the suspect’s arrest, the police have successfully solved robbery cases involving boutiques in Kota Bharu.
