Police made a shocking discovery after finding a body in Muar River, Johor, following reports from the public about something floating in the water.

According to a statement from the Muar District Police, the boy, who is a registered person with a disability, had been missing for 2 days and was last seen at home around 11:30 PM on November 2 (Saturday).

“A floating object”

The dad of the deceased, who also has a disability card, reported his 14-year-old son, who has hyperactive autism, missing after he left their home in Muar.

ACP Raiz Mukhliz Bin Azman, the Chief of Muar District Police, shared that the deceased’s dad reported that the teenager had not returned home at night and often left the house without his knowledge.

On November 4 (Monday) at around 7:30 AM, police got reports from the public about a “floating object” near the Marina Bay jetty.

The case is classified as a sudden death report

After finding the body, investigators confirmed that the boy’s appearance and clothes matched the description his dad provided.

His remains were sent for a post-mortem, and the case is now listed as a sudden death report.
