Victim slashed despite not retaliating

In an official statement, the Seberang Perai District Police Headquarters said that two of the suspects, armed with machetes, entered the store while a third accomplice remained outside as a lookout.

During the robbery, a 27-year-old male employee was attacked and suffered injuries to his head and hand after one of the armed suspects repeatedly slashed him, despite the victim not retaliating.

The suspects fled the scene with cash, several cartons of cigarettes, and a sling bag, with total losses estimated at RM500. The victim initially received treatment at Hospital Sungai Bakap before being referred to a private hospital. He is reported to be in a stable condition.
