THE Digital Economy Centre (PEDi) located in numerous districts in Sarawak and operated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission will serve as a venue to help local folks with no telecommunication devices register with the PADU central data hub.
Announcing this today, the Statistics Department of Malaysia said the department will start deploying its staff to selected PEDis throughout Sarawak to help in the PADU registration.
"We will send our department staff to selected PEDI to assist local residents needing help with the PADU registration.
"Local residents who are eligible (Malaysian citizens and permanent residents aged 18 and above) can go to the PEDi centres in their districts.
"There will be PADU counters set up in these PEDi premises.
"Staff from the Department of Statistics Malaysia offices in Sarawak will be deployed to the PADU counters in these PEDi centres to help out," the department said in a press statement.
The department said it will update the public on the timing and the PEDi centres where PADU registration can be facilitated. - The Vibes, January 12, 2024
