PENAMPANG: An eight-tonne lorry hauling a load of crushed stone was stranded while attempting to cross a concrete bridge in Kampung Kolopis here on Saturday (pic).
The concrete bridge suddenly gave way, causing the lorry’s rear end to get caught in the crack.
The lorry driver who wished to remain anonymous escaped unharmed but the vehicle sustained damages estimated to cost more than RM1,000.
It was understood that the bridge was repaired immediately so road users can utilise it.
The Village Development Committee Chief (PJKK), meanwhile, could not be immediately reached for comments.
