PENAMPANG: A half-day event to allow folks in Penampang to avail basic health check-ups, voice out complaints on issues affecting the community, including polling station services, will be held on Sunday.
Organised by Penampang Community Association and Heritage of Kg Kepayan Branch, the free community service will be held at Ho Chiak Restaurant, Taman Suria, from 7am to noon.
Its spokesperson Kenneth Jayaraman said all the services will be provided to the public for free.
“Mark the date and time on your calendar and meet us on Sunday,” he said.
Last month, he said the members also conducted similar community service in the district.
The group during the event also distributed schoolbags to several students in the area.
“We will continue to organise and provide community services in our district as part of our civic obligation to the community,” said Kenneth, adding that sharing blessings and promoting unity among everyone will lead to greater accomplishments.
