Pensioner, 92, charged with murder after death of his wife in Exeter

• 92-year-old Laurence Billam, has been charged with the murder of his 87-year-old wife, Shirley Billam.
• Emergency services were called to their home on Millbrook Lane in Exeter, Devon, on 19 April at approximately 12.40pm.
• Shirley Billam was pronounced dead at the scene.
• Mr Billam, of the same address, is scheduled to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court.
• Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that Ms Billam's family is receiving support from specially trained officers.
