Perak Menteri Besar Saarani Mohamad directs immediate repairs to Pulau Pangkor’s main road damaged by heavy rain, prioritising community safety
IPOH: Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad has ordered immediate repairs to Pulau Pangkor’s main road following damage from continuous heavy rain.
He instructed the Manjung district officer to implement necessary repairs as soon as possible after inspecting the affected area.
“I have asked the Manjung district officer to take necessary action and to implement the repairs as soon as possible,” Saarani posted on Facebook today.
The damaged road has significantly impacted local communities on the island.
Saarani also inspected a landslide at Sekolah Menengah Tahfiz Darul Ridzuan that raised safety concerns among students, teachers and parents.
Technical departments have been directed to conduct comprehensive safety assessments before learning activities resume.
