According to PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, Perikatan Nasional (PN) has not reached a decision regarding its prime ministerial candidate for the upcoming 16th general election. The issue of selecting a candidate to lead the coalition has yet to be formally discussed.
Tuan Ibrahim emphasized that the matter of whether PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will continue as the prime ministerial candidate remains unresolved. He stated that since the general election has not been called, the focus for now is on strengthening PN's position and addressing the Kuala Kubu Baru by-election.
In response to speculation and inquiries, Tuan Ibrahim stressed the importance of avoiding unnecessary controversies over decisions that have not been finalized.
