Kota Kinabalu: Whether the bitter rivalry for political supremacy in the peninsula between Umno-led Barisan Nasional and Bersatu-led Perikatan Nasional may have spread to Sabah will be known today (Saturday) when all those contesting in the GE15 on Nov. 19 make their intentions known.
Expectations are that PN would try its luck in several constituencies being contested especially by Umno-BN candidates, thus weakening its chances of providing enough seats to form the next Federal Government.
BN is reportedly facing a stiff challenge from Anwar-led Pakatan Harapan for the peninsula seats.
