National carmaker Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) has joined forces with Bank Rakyat to unveil the co-branded Perodua-Bank Rakyat Credit Card-i.
Perodua and Bank Rakyat have teamed up to unveil a new co-branded credit card with Islamic financing fundamentals tailored directly around the expenditure needs of vehicle owners, delivering dedicated everyday benefits across vehicle upkeep, daily commuting, and takaful protection.

The launch represents Perodua’s first-ever venture with a banking institution to roll out an Islamic payment card. Fully embedded into Perodua’s broader digital ecosystem, accumulated reward points from retail spending can be converted and redeemed directly through the Perodua P-Circle mobile application.
Automotive-Focused Value: 5x Points and Zero Foreign Transaction Fees
Engineered to optimize routine mobility costs, the Credit Card-i provides substantial cashback and reward accelerators across primary motoring categories:
- 5x Reward Points Accelerator: Cardholders earn five times reward points on retail transactions involving fuel purchases, electric vehicle (EV) charging sessions, periodic vehicle servicing and repairs at authorized centers, and motor takaful renewals.
- Cost-Saving Financial Perks: The card comes with zero annual fees and 0% overseas transaction fees, delivering cost savings for travelers shopping abroad.
- Complimentary Takaful Protection: Cardholders receive complimentary takaful coverage covering outstanding card balances of up to RM300,000 for users up to the age of 70, accompanied by a RM1,000 Khairat Kematian bereavement benefit.
Card Designs Inspired by Perodua QV-E and TIRA
In a nod to the marque’s electric future and digital lifestyle direction, the Perodua-Bank Rakyat Credit Card-i is available in two bespoke card face designs:
- Perodua QV-E Edition: Features futuristic design elements inspired by Perodua’s flagship battery electric vehicle (BEV).
- TIRA Edition: Showcases TIRA, the animated character featured within the interactive Perodua P-Circle super-app environment.

Expanding the National Automotive Financial Ecosystem
Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad highlighted that the card introduction serves as a cornerstone initiative to support vehicle owners with ongoing cost-of-living savings. To incentivize initial card adoption, Perodua will roll out an introductory promotional campaign offering exclusive Perodua package privileges for approved applicants.

Bank Rakyat Group Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff noted that the collaboration unites Islamic banking principles with the country’s largest automotive retail community. Aligned with Bank Rakyat’s “For All” vision, the co-branded initiative expands access to inclusive, Shariah-compliant financial tools while providing tangible day-to-day value across the automotive maintenance value chain.
Interested vehicle owners can learn more about card eligibility and submit applications at authorized Perodua sales and service centers or Bank Rakyat branches nationwide.
