
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine peso closed at a fresh record low of P62.68 against the US dollar on Friday, weakening from P62.535 on Thursday.
The latest close surpassed the previous record-low close of P62.625 recorded on Tuesday, with the peso ending the week weaker despite recovering on Wednesday and Thursday.
Bankers Association of the Philippines data showed the peso opened at P62.655 on Friday and reached an intraday low of P62.775 before closing at P62.68.
