
MANILA, Philippines —The Philippine peso fell to a fresh record low against the US dollar on Thursday, touching P61.89 before ending the session at P61.888.
The latest low surpassed the previous record of P61.847 recorded on July 24.
The local currency opened at P61.71 and traded between P61.68 and P61.89 during the session. Its closing level was 23.8 centavos weaker than Wednesday's P61.65 finish.
