Peter back in the saddle at KDM Malaysia

PENAMPANG: Datuk Peter Anthony retained his post as President of the Malaysian Kadazan Dusun Murut Association (KDM Malaysia) for 2024-2026.

The decision at the KDM Malaysia annual meeting here, Tuesday, also saw Henry Saimpon elected Deputy President.

The five elected vice presidents are Datuk Baitin Adun, Jack Jatil Junggok, Gabriel George Tulas, Dr Oswald Aigat Igau and Abu Bakar Ellah.

Peter, when chairing the meeting, said KDM Malaysia will continue to play its role in helping and uplifting the KDM community in the State.

“I also accept the proposals presented by the Supreme Council members (AMT). We will discuss the proposals implement those that are suitable,” he said.

Meanwhile, Jaiping Minsu and Jaimon Susa were elected as Secretary General and Assistant Secretary General, respectively, while Lazarus Anthony and Presley Peter were elected as Treasurer General and Assistant Treasurer General, respectively.

Ebby Roy Raimon and Jaklin Mogimau were respectively elected as Youth Chief and Assistant Youth Chief, while Elvina Jane Justine was elected as Beliawanis Chief and Donnysius Ansuku was elected as Information Chief.

A total of 20 AMT were also elected at the meeting, namely George Timus; Andrew Weddy Majanggim; Florence L R M Ebbie; Masly Dangku; Jikol Taguah; Vitalis Gulabok; Lasimin Majani @ Lasmin; Agustine Spring; Justin Silut Juani; Joseph Anthony; Jaikol Pondok; Nixboy Piunin; Jellysius Saimpon; Haris Bolos; Dr Gaim James Lunkapis; Jumardie Lukman; Priscilla Peter; Sitipah Jahamin; Michael Angkui and Willie Jude Junaidi.
