Peter Murrell admits embezzling £400K from SNP to fund luxury lifestyle

  • Peter Murrell, the former chief executive of the Scottish National Party (SNP), has admitted to embezzling over £400,000 from the party.
  • Murrell, who is Nicola Sturgeon’s estranged husband, pleaded guilty to the charges at the High Court in Edinburgh on Monday morning.
  • The embezzlement of £400,310.65 occurred between August 2010 and October 2022.
