DAPAT Isa Lang, an anti-political dynasty coalition, said that it aims to gather 7.5 million signatures against dynastic politics.
The group's position is that only one member of a political clan should be allowed to run for public office.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Dapat Isa Lang (There should only be one) said prospective signatories of the petition should read first the coalition’s version of the Proposed Anti-Political Dynasty Act.
Supporters will be asked to sign on a clean piece of paper, then take a photo of themselves, with their location indicated.
It estimated that 10 percent of the signatures would come from registered voters or 3 percent per district.
Dapat Isa Lang said members of the People’s Initiative Coalition Against Dynasties, led by retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, are among the primary signatories of the petition.
