Malaysia’s national oil company PETRONAS has confirmed that fuel supply across its nationwide station network will remain stable until the end of June 2026.

In a statement issued yesterday (Apr 15), PETRONAS said this latest update extends its earlier projection, which had only guaranteed supply until the end of May.

The assurance comes amid continued pressure on global energy markets due to ongoing conflicts in West Asia.

Despite these uncertainties, PETRONAS said it is actively managing its supply chain to ensure consistent stock levels at petrol stations across the country.

Half of Malaysia’s fuel supplied by PETRONAS

According to the company, about 50% of Malaysia’s fuel demand is supplied through its subsidiary, PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad. The remaining supply is handled by other oil companies operating locally.

PETRONAS reiterated its commitment to maintaining a stable and reliable fuel supply for Malaysians.

At the same time, the company advised the public to purchase fuel based on daily needs and avoid panic buying or hoarding, especially during periods of global supply uncertainty.

Calls for responsible consumption

PETRONAS urged the public to fuel up based on daily needs and avoid panic buying, noting that balanced demand is key to keeping supply stable nationwide.

The update highlights how global developments can still impact local fuel availability, even in established markets like Malaysia.

Beyond production, efficient logistics and planning now play a crucial role in ensuring steady supply as the country moves into mid-2026.
