SIPITANG: SIPITANG: Petronas continues to lighten the burden of the less fortunate with its Uplifting Lives Programme where the company donated food packages to 150 recipients in Kampung Pantai here, on Wednesday.

Apart from food packages, the recipients also received cash aid from Badan Kebajikan Islam Petronas (Bakip) Sipitang.

The contribution was handed over by Petronas Chemicals Fertiliser Sdn Bhd CEO Abdullah Side and Sindumin Assemblyman Datuk Dr Yusof Yacob during a breaking of fast ceremony with the community at the Saidina Uthman Mosque.

Abdullah also handed over solar lamps to the mosque’s chairman, Bakar Amir, to be installed at the mosque.

The recipients comprised orphans and single mothers from nearby villages in Sindumin.

Also present were Sipitang District Officer, Awangku Raimy Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman and around 200 locals.
