PETRONAS has released its Kaamatan festive film ‘Mimpi Padi’ that delves into the true meaning of the enchanting heritage and culture behind the celebration.

The film portrays a heartfelt family story shining a spotlight on the legacy of hill rice cultivation practices in the vibrant land of Sabah.

‘Mimpi Padi’ unravels the story of Osindak, a young Sabahan bearing a Kadazan-Dusun name that means the ‘brightness of the future’.

A high-achieving university student, Osindak struggles between charting her own path and continuing her family’s hill rice cultivation practices.
