Peugeot 408 Arrives In Malaysia From Just RM146,055

After loads of teasing and spyshots, the all-new Peugeot 408 arrives in Malaysia in 3 CKD variants.

Stellantis Malaysia has launched its first all-new product – the Peugeot 408. This segment-bending entry aims to create a new niche for itself by combining the functionality of a crossover with a dramatic fastback silhouette.

The new Peugeot 408 is built on the Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2) and has the following dimensions:

• length: 4687mm
• width: 1859mm
• height: 1487mm
• wheelbase: 2787mm
• boot space: 536L

The new Peugeot 408 arrives in Malaysia bearing the new Peugeot logo in three trim levels – Allure, Premium and GT priced at RM146,055, RM166,055 and RM196,055. All models are locally-assembled at the Stellantis factory in Gurun, Kedah and come with the same powertrain – a 1.6L turbocharged PureTech 4-cylinder petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. That’s 218PS at 5750rpm and 300Nm of torque at 2000rpm which gives it a century sprint time of 8.8 seconds. All 408 models come with a 7-year warranty/200,000km which is split between a 3-year manufacturer warranty and a 4-year extended warranty.
