THE Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) on Friday welcomed the entry of Canada-based EDAC (Electronic Design & Assembly Co.) into the country.

EDAC Philippines, part of the global EDAC Group, provides high-quality electronic interconnects, connectors (D-Sub, USB, RJ45, card-edge) and custom cable assembly solutions for the computing, medical, aerospace and industrial automation industries, serving local original equipment manufacturers and distribution channels in the country.

PEZA Deputy Director General for Policy and Planning Anidelle Joy Alguso and EDAC treasurer Connie Robinson led the signing of a registration agreement, witnessed by PEZA group manager Cristeta Cañete and EDAC corporate secretary Eric Himan.

EDAC Philippines will start operations in the first half of the year at Filinvest Innovation Park in New Clark City, Tarlac.

The EDAC Group has a distribution network across Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania.

Its headquarters are in Markham, Ontario.
