The Premier League's referees have explained why Newcastle United were awarded a goal against Arsenal on Saturday.
There was controversy surrounding Anthony Gordon's goal in the game, as several incidents could have ruled it out.
The ball appeared to go out of play, a Newcastle player appeared to foul an Arsenal defender, while there was also a suggestion of offside.
A graphic from beIN Sports appeared to show the ball did stay in play, while the PGMOL have stated they did not have sufficient angles to confirm any offside.
The possible foul on Gabriel by Joelinton was assessed, but was not deemed sufficient to overrule the on field referee, per The Mirror.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, however, was furious about the decision and called the situation embarrassing" post-game.
